Although I’ll stick by my decision that Nick Cave is my album of the year - I must stress that the Portishead album is really really really good
End of the Year List
So, all multimedia websites/magazines are compiling their end-of-year lists. If I recall correctly MGMT came first for NME, Kings of Leon for Q, She and Him in Paste, TV on the Radio in Rolling Stone (& Spin) and Fleet Foxes in Paste. Now heres the REAL list, enjoy.

Working Title
Two weeks away from being able to record again! I may even buy a new guitar for it. As usual I’ve written a whoooole lot this week because I’m supposed to be studying. Hopefully there will be a lot more music to come for this poor wee blog. I’ve been becoming a lot more focused and serious about my writing process so I really hope I dont lose momentum.
Today I listened to:
Digital Ash in a Digital Urn by Bright Eyes and Vespertine by Bjork - Both wonderful examples of how good electronica can be.
Cardinology!
The new Cardinals record is finally here and it could not be more representative of the past year in the world of R and the Cards. Love being able to hear Graboff and Casal vocals for once! I was going to go through the whole thing track by track but instead I’ll just say that now is a great time to start listening to The Cardinals. Wish I was back home so I could go to the Edinburgh gig.
